Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be held at 10:00 a.m. Central Time, on Thursday, June 11, 2024, in the offices of the Alabama Department of Insurance, 201 Monroe Street, Fifth Floor Conference Room, RSA Tower, Montgomery, Alabama, as follows: 

 

Adoption of amendments to Section 8 of Insurance Regulation No. 148 (Rule 482-1-148-.08) to increase the license fees in line with the CPI Index pursuant to § 41-1-11, Ala. Code 1975, to be effective October 1, 2024.  (2 pages.) 

 

Adoption of amendments to Insurance Regulation No. 75 (Chapter 482-1-075) to update citations to Ala. Code 1975, to be effective July 1, 2024.  (5 pages.) 

 

Adoption of amendments to Insurance Regulation No. 76 (Chapter 482-1-076) to update citations to Ala. Code 1975, to be effective July 1, 2024.  (13 pages.)

Adoption of amendments to Section 5 of Insurance Regulation No. 111 (Rule 482-1-111-.05) to change the name of the automobile line of authority to coordinate with other provisions, to be effective July 1, 2024.  (2 pages.) 

 

Adoption of amendments to Insurance Regulation No. 159 (Chapter 482-1-159) to update license requirements and references to FORTIFIED standards, to be effective January 1, 2025.  (9 pages.) 

 

The repeal of Insurance Regulation No. 52 (Chapter 482-1-052) as it is no longer necessary, to be effective July 1, 2024.  (2 pages.) 

 

The repeal of Insurance Regulation No. 59 (Chapter 482-1-059) as it is no longer necessary, to be effective July 1, 2024.  (3 pages.) 

 

The repeal of Insurance Regulation No. 74 (Chapter 482-1-074) as it is no longer necessary, to be effective July 1, 2024.  (2 pages.) 

 

Any person wishing to submit testimony at said hearing is requested to submit said testimony in writing by 3:00 p.m. Central Time on June 6, 2024, to the Alabama Department of Insurance, Attention: Legal Division, Post Office Box 303351, Montgomery, Alabama  36130-3351. Any written submission of testimony prior to the hearing will not preclude anyone from making an oral or written presentation at the hearing.
