Medicare Savings Programs

| Alabama has programs for people with limited income and
resources that pay some or all of Medicare's premiums. Some programs may also
pay Medicare deductibles and coinsurance. |
You can apply for these programs if:

You have Medicare Part A. (If you have Medicare Part A but don't think you
can afford it, there is a program that may pay the Medicare Part A premium
for you.)

(1-800-362-1504) and ask for information on Medicare Savings
Programs. You can also access the
Alabama Medicaid Agency's
website to get more information or download an application. |
| There are three Medicare Savings Programs: |

Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB)

Specified Low-Income Medicare Beneficiary (SLMB)

Qualifying Individual (QI)
