The Alabama Insurance Code,
Section 27-9A-5, allows adjusters not licensed
in the state and acting on behalf of an insurer to conduct business within the state
in the event of a catastrophe.

to register online. Registration is through T.E.A.R.S. online system and requires fee of $60 per individual registration.
Registration of emergency adjusters is required by the Department of Insurance for Emergency Adjuster Passes and Emergency Adjuster Access Passes. These passes are good for 90 days from the date of issue.
