Notice of Regulation Hearing

Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be held at 10:00 AM on April 17, 2003, at the offices of the Alabama Department of Insurance, 201 Monroe Street, Suite 1700, Montgomery, Alabama as follows: 

 

Revision of Regulation No. 24 [Chapter 482-1-024], regarding filing for approval of all life and accident and health policy forms, riders, endorsements and applications.  The proposed revisions address the confidentiality of certain proprietary and confidential information contained in these filings.  (2 pages) 

 

Revision of Regulation No. 54 [Chapter 482-1-054], regarding notification to the Commissioner of disciplinary action by other states or federal agencies and of criminal or civil actions against insurance companies, insurance producers, and other licensed entities.  The proposed revisions encompass changes necessitated by the new producer licensing regulation.  (7 pages)

 

Revision of Regulation No. 65 [Chapter 482-1-065], which sets forth the procedural rules governing administrative hearings at the Department of Insurance.  The proposed revisions encompass changes necessitated by the new producer licensing regulation.  (23 pages)

 

Revision of Regulation No. 121 [Chapter 482-1-121], which sets forth procedures for granting or denying written consent to engage in the business of insurance pursuant to 18 U.S. Code Section 1033(e)(2).  The proposed revisions encompass changes necessitated by the new producer licensing legislation.  (17 pages) 

 

            Any person wishing to submit testimony at said hearing is requested to submit said testimony in writing to the Alabama Department of Insurance, Attention:  Legal Division, Post Office Box 303351, Montgomery, Alabama 36130-3351.  Any written submission of testimony prior to the hearing will not preclude anyone from making an oral or written presentation at the hearing.
