Notice of Regulation Hearing

Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be held at 10:00 AM on November 29, 2006, at the offices of the Alabama Department of Insurance, 201 Monroe Street, Suite 1700, Montgomery, Alabama, as follows:

 

Revision of Section 1 of Regulation No. 104 [Rule 482-1-104-.01], which sets forth the purpose and scope of the regulation dealing with the confidential treatment of information, so as to make it clear such information can, under certain conditions, be shared with international regulators and with the NAIC.  (1 page)

 

Revision of Section 4 of Regulation No. 104 [Rule 482-1-104-.04], which sets forth the conditions to access confidential information, so as to make it clear such information can be shared with international regulators and with the NAIC.  (1 page)

 

Revision of Regulation No. 110 [Chapter 482-1-110], which sets forth the procedures necessary for the annual renewal of licenses of insurance producers and service representatives and implements the continuing education requirements for producers and service representatives.  The revisions encompass changes necessitated by the new biennial licensing legislation.  (23 pages)

 

Any person wishing to submit testimony at said hearing is requested to submit said testimony in writing to the Alabama Department of Insurance, Attention: Legal Division, Post Office Box 303351, Montgomery, Alabama 36130-3351.  Any written submission of testimony prior to the hearing will not preclude anyone from making an oral or written presentation at the hearing.
