Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 06, 2007, in the offices of the Alabama Department of Insurance, 201 Monroe Street, Suite 1700, RSA Tower, Montgomery, Alabama, regarding the following matter:

An amendment to Regulation No. 136 [Chapter 482-1-136]. The purpose of the amended regulation is to clarify the notice requirements for non-renewal of coverage based upon an insurer’s decision to reduce its exposure to a potential catastrophic event.  (5 pages)

Any person wishing to submit testimony at the hearing is requested to submit the testimony in writing to the Alabama Department of Insurance, Attention: Legal Division, Post Office Box 303351, Montgomery, Alabama 36130-3351.  Any written submission of testimony prior to the hearing will not preclude anyone from making an oral or written presentation at the hearing.
