Arson Damage to Saint Claire DHR

An early morning structure fire Saturday, August 29, in Pell City has resulted in major damage to the building housing the Saint Claire County Department of Human Resources Offices. Firefighers responded to the 1:30 a.m. call at 3105 Fifteenth Avenue North in Pell City in time to save most of the building.  An ensuing investigation by the Alabama State Fire Marshal's Office, the Pell City Fire Department, the Pell City Police Department and the Saint Claire County Sherriff's Office has determined the fire to have been intentionally set.  State Fire Marshal, Ed Paulk is asking for anyone with information connected to this or any other suspicious fire to please contact the Alabama Arson Hotline at  1-800-654-0775.
