A Saturday (11/7) night house fire in Selma has resulted in the death of 54 year old Henry Lee Williams, Sr.  Firefighters responded at approximately 9:30 p.m. Friday  to a house fire at 231 Lamar Avenue in Selma.  Investigators determined the fire to have started atop the stove in the kitchen of the residence.  Williams’ body was found in the front of the residence.  Preliminary indications are that both the fire and fatality were accidental, although an autopsy will be performed to determine official cause of Williams’ death.  Responding emergency agencies include the Selma Police and Fire Departments and the Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office.
