Insurers who need to hire new agents amid the “stay at home” order may find it to their advantage to utilize a Temporary Producer license. Any Alabama resident who is otherwise qualified to be licensed as an insurance producer, except for having passed the producer examination, can be licensed to work. The agent must work under the supervision of an insurance company for six months as a Temporary Producer.
