The death of a ninety-five year old Dora resident is currently under investigation by local authorities and the State Fire Marshals Office.

Edith Elizabeth Singleton of 235 Singleton Road was found dead in her home around 10:15 AM Thursday. Ms. Singleton, who lived alone and used a walker to move about, was found lying on the floor against a liquefied petroleum gas heater.

At the present time, it is unknown whether Ms. Singleton got too close to the heater and her clothing ignited or if she fell and could not move away from the heater before her clothing caught fire.
