No injuries were reported when fire destroyed the boy’s dormitory at Holyland in Sumter County last Wednesday night.
The fire occurred after occupants of the building left for prayer services. A resident of Holyland, who saw smoke and entered the dormitory, stated the fire originated around an electric central furnace. The fire was reported at 7:07 PM, however, responding firefighters were unable to extinguish the fire before it destroyed the building.
