Alabama has become the 25th state to join the National Insurance Producer Registry which will allow non-residents to obtain licenses in this state online.
Under the program, non-resident individual producers and business entities can apply for licenses.
“This is a major convenience that will benefit our department and the industry,” said Commissioner Walter A. Bell. “We will have less paper coming into the department and we will spend fewer man hours on data entry. The benefit to the industry is a much faster turnaround time.”
