Autauga Fire Appears to be Arson

A mobile home fire in the Booth community of Autauga County on Saturday was likely a case of arson, said Acting State Fire Marshal Richard Montgomery.
 
The home of Leslie Wright on U.S. 82 caught fire Saturday evening. Booth volunteer firefighters responded to the scene. An investigation by the Autauga County Sheriff's Department and the Alabama State Fire Marshals Office concluded that arson was the cause.
 
 
 
Saturday, January 24, 2004, fire damaged the mobile home of Leslie Wright on US Highway 82 west of Prattville, Alabama.  The fire was reported to Autauga County 911 at 7pm.  Booth VFD responded to the scene and extinguished the fire.  An investigation conducted by the Autauga County Sheriff's Department and the State Fire Marshals Office concluded that the fire is an arson.  A case will be presented to the Autauga County Grand Jury outlining the results of the investigation.
