A Maylene man was charged with setting fire to the mobile home he was renting.
The fire, which started Tuesday evening, destroyed the mobile home. Arrested was Selston Emmett Seals Jr., 40, of Maylene. He was charged with second-degree arson and taken to the Shelby County Jail.
