A volunteer fire station in DeKalb County was destroyed Thursday evening when a fire swept through the structure.
The Powell Volunteer Fire Department lost its building and three fire trucks. Powell is located in northwest DeKalb County on the Jackson county line.
The cause of the fire appears to be accidental, but remains under investigation by the Alabama State Fire Marshals Office.
