Congressional candidate Bill Fuller was taken to a Valley hospital Friday morning after he jumped from a second-story porch to escape a fire, which gutted his 130-year-old home.

Fuller's injuries were not deemed to be non-life threatening.

The Lafayette Fire Department has asked the State Fire Marshals Office to help with the investigation. No cause has been determined at this point.
