A church fire in rural Talladega County has been ruled an arson, State Fire Marshal Edward S. Paulk said Wednesday.
The Blackberry Lane Community Church, located on Old Shocco Springs Road north of Talladega, was severely damaged, and its auditorium was destroyed.
"The evidence collected at the scene strongly indicates that this fire was intentionally set," Paulk said.
