A senior center in Lowndes County was destroyed by fire early Friday morning, State Fire Marshal Ed Paulk said.
"The call went into the 911 Center in Lowdnes County at approximately 3:30 a.m.," Paulk said.
The center was located in downtown Hayneville adjacent to the Lowndes County Commission offices. No other buildings were harmed.
