Christopher Edward Bixler, 36, has been arrested on charges of second-degree arson, the Alabama Department of Insurance State Fire Marshal’s Office announces.
Bixler was placed in the Colbert County Jail under a $15,000 bond on Tuesday.
The arrest is in connection with an Aug. 18, 2017 fire at his home, located at 780 Cross Street, Cherokee, Alabama.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office would like to thank the Cherokee Volunteer Fire Department, the Cherokee Police Department and the Colbert County District Attorney’s Office for their assistance in the investigation.
