Once you have completed the appropriate prelicensing course, you are eligible to
sit for the insurance producer examination. You will be asked to present a valid
photo ID and an original certificate of completion from an approved prelicensing
provider when you arrive to take your examination. If you have not received the
original certificate, you may present a copy only if the notary stamp and signatures
are legible by proctor.
NOTE: Prelicensing course certificate is valid for one year from date of completion.

For persons not currently holding an active Temporary Insurance Producer/Apprentice
After successfully completing the examination, applicants must complete an

and American Express payments will be accepted online. NIPR FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
For persons currently holding an active Temporary Insurance Producer/Apprentice
After successfully completing the examination, if within the time of the temporary
license dates, NIPR will automatically convert the license to a permanent license
and you should be able to print your license within 2 days. No fee is required.
